The Empire of Zarveth

A Modern Retelling of an Ancient Nation

History of Zarveth

Long before history was written in ink, the lands now known as Zarveth—called Whales by outsiders—thrived under the voice of the sea and the unity of its native tribes. The early people, the Zalvari, spoke Zalvian, a melodic language woven from the earth, sky, and ocean.

In the 1700s, the Valdic Empire arrived, bringing with it colonization, control, and suppression. The language was banned, temples were destroyed, and resistance punished. But Zalvian survived—in whispers, carvings, and the lullabies of mothers.

The fire of rebellion ignited in 1894. The Liberation War began, led by the secretive La’Zalvaret movement. Armed with courage and the strength of their forgotten tongue, the people fought back village by village.

By 1900, victory was declared. The Free Dominion of Zarveth was born, led by La Zalvaran Arvel Drahim, the first sovereign and restorer of the Zalvian language. A new identity rose from the ashes—strong, proud, and united.

Today, the nation thrives as The Empire of Zarveth, led by La Zalvaran Ethren Vallis. Though modernized, the Empire’s roots run deep—etched in every Zalvian word and remembered in every tale of struggle and triumph.
